The journey to the Vinschgau Valley from Switzerland, Austria, or Germany takes you over breathtaking alpine passes. On this page, we provide some information on how you can plan your journey by car, as well as by bus, train and plane.
The cultural region of Vinschgau in South Tyrol is located in the heart of Central Europe and is easily accessible from the north and west via the Brenner Highway, the Reschen Pass, or the Ofen Pass.
Once you’ve arrived in Vinschgau, you can safely leave your car in the garage, as in addition to an excellent public transport network, shuttle services are also available to take you to the sightseeing destinations.

With the bus and train, the holiday begins already during the journey. There are excellent public transport connections to the Vinschgau Valley.
While the train connection from the north runs via the Brenner Pass and Bolzano, there are also quick connections from Nauders or from Switzerland via the Ofen Pass, with departures every half hour.

The Südtirol Guest Pass allows you to use the Vinschgerbahn and all other public transportation in South Tyrol for free. By showing the VinschguaCard, you will also receive discounts at cable cars, museums, and leisure facilities.
We will hand you the VinschgauCard on the day of your arrival. It is valid for the entire duration of your stay in our house and is non-transferable.
With the Südtirol Guest Pass, you can take advantage of the following services:
- The Vinschgerbahn and all other regional trains in South Tyrol and up to Trento (marked with an R in the timetable)
- City buses and intercity buses (Citybuses)
- The PostAuto Switzerland between Malles and Müstair (CH)
- The cable cars: Renon, Maranza, San Genesio, Colle, Meltina, and Verano, as well as the Renon tram and the funicular to Mendola
